The Aspects

The birth chart reveals the placement of the planets at the exact time and place of our birth, however the planets including the Sun, Moon and asteroids do not remain stationary, they continue their orbits around the wheel of the zodiac passing over their natal positions and as they do, they form angles with each other these are referred to as the aspects in astrological terms, the aspects formed at the time of your birth regarding your natal planets are calculated when you have a birth chart done,when you have a transit report done, the angles are calculated for a given time period, usually it is for a one year period, Each angle that is formed can either be beneficial to the planets energies involved or their influence can be detrimental depending upon the angle formed and the particular planets involved.

 Below you will find the most important aspects that most astrologers use when doing an interpretation , there are other angle formations but these are the most important and these are the ones that we at Whispering Sky focus in on in our practice...

The Soft aspects

(0-8 degrees) Conjunction- unites or joins with acts synergistically:

           -Square(90 degrees) -creates tension and irritation with, argumentative a need to relax.

     -Quincunx-(150 degrees)  dictates that changes be made or compromises be reached,

                                                               a need to communicate

                           -Opposition-(180 degrees) opposes, needs to balance with opposite energies a need to compromise.
